Dont blink! Life goes faster then you think!

I can not believe how big Landon is getting. He will be 2 in 2 months. Its crazy, It seems like just yesterday they were laying him on my lap and now its almost time to do it again with another one. Where does the time go? Its like that song says, "Dont blink!". I cant believe my baby is not a baby anymore he is a toddler and a big boy in so many ways. I love that he still wants to cuddle and "hold me" as he says. He is such an amazing little boy and I thank God every day that he has intrusted me with him. This still after 2 years scares the living daylights out of me. But he loves it and asks for it over and over. Wonder when he is going to get to big for that?

He loves his strawberries. He calls them "twobeas". I have no idea where he got that from but its cute and its stuck. Anytime we go to the store we have to buy some and he eats them as we shop. Its so hard in the winter when we can not find them anywhere and the ones we do find are not any good because he LOVES them. If he sees them in the fridge he brings me a bowl and asks for some. Im glad he loves something thats healthy for him.

He is so independent. Sometimes it breaks my heart to watch him just sitting out there on his swing but he loves to be alone. He loves to play with other little kids too but even when they are around he sometimes just sits there and watches them play or goes and does his own thing. He loves to swing with them and play catch but if they dont want to do it he just does it by himself. Noah is so much like that too, very observant and independent and will jump in and play with the best of them, when he is ready. I am so glad we are having another boy that way they both have a built in buddy.
So the "I DO IT" has begun. He only says it in multiples of 2 and is very adment about it. He wants to do it all by himself. So thus the climbing has begun. He has also learned that he can drag his little tikes chair around or a kitchen chair and reach more things. No letting this one out of your sight.
He loves big boy cups and during the day if he sees us drinking from one he has too also. Its nice that he is so ready for them and that he lets us know.
It was almost time for daddy to come home and so Landon went and sat on the front porch and waited, he was so quit I kept peeking on him to make sure he was okay and still he just sat. It was a late day for Noah however so Landon got a bit impatient, (he sat for about 7 or 8 minutes) and so he started riding his bike around the front porch. Eventually that got old too so we went to water. (ill post some pics of that later, he loves to "water the gass" and gets very wet when doing it. But he thinks he is being a big help.)

Landon loves olives. You can see them all on his right hand. We put them on his fingers and do the "Five little ducks went out to play" song and then eat one everytime. Usually he eats them all by 4 little ducks but we are working on that. He now calls them Fingers instead of olives, which he used to call them. So we are working on that. He will run to me when he sees them with his fingers spread wide ready for the placement. I thought at first he was telling me to put them on his fingers but he saw them the other day and said "I eat fingers mommy." So I suppose thats the new word for olives. :O)
Ill post some BBQ picture and some watering pics later this week.

Boogie woogie buggle boy!

This weekend we went to a friends house for a Memorial day BBQ. We had a blast. After dinner we did Karioke and Landon had so much fun. He was dancing like crazy, and after awhile he found a little kid hammer and sang into that while the adults sang. It was so much fun to watch him just jamming and dancing and then singing. He was not shy about it at all, no doubt our son likes to boogie.

Ill post some pictures tommorow.

Enjoy the videos! They are a hoot! Ignore our lovely Karioke in the background...:O)

Are you writing this down?

So in conversations with some friends I have been telling them all the new things Landon has been doing and as they laugh or tell me how cute it is they ask, "Are you writing this stuff down?" And since most of my "journaling" in on here I figured I better Write this down!!!

We have a slide show on our computer of all our pictures, and Landon loves to sit down and watch all the pictures go by. We play a little game and I ask him to name all the people in the picture before it goes by. He is really good, he rarely misses! I also will not help him unless he gets it wrong and then I will correct him. When one of our next babies ultrasound pictures came across, (it was his foot) I asked Landon "Who is that?" He tilts his head to the side and leans into me and excitedly exclaims, "My bruder". It made my heart melt, two more pictures came by of different ultrasound pictures and the same thing! I think he just might be figuring this out.

He also loves to say prayers. Any time we sit down to eat or get ready for bed he is so excited to say a pray. We always let him say one and then we say one. For awhile it was Father Food Amen or Father Sleep Amen. The other day Noah was having a really rough day and it was obviously very evident to Landon because his prayer changed that night at dinner. "Father bess (bless) food and Dadda, Father peas (please) bess Dadda, Love Jesus Amen." It was so precious, Noah started crying. From the mouth of babes so fresh from above. A few nights ago we also heard Landon talking in his room, which is not uncommon, he always carries on conversations with his animals and balls in his room but this time we listened to exactly what he was saying. He was saying his own prayer in bed. So Noah peeked in and there was Landon with his arms folded saying a prayer asking to bless almost everyone in our family his little mind could think of. Its such a joy to see him learning and loving the parts of the gospel he understands. He tells me all the time "I love Jesus" and when he ask him who loves him its, Momma Dadda and Jesus ever time, sometimes Nana and Pops and Mimi are thrown in, but most times its just Momma Dadda and Jesus.

He loves to peel the wrapper off crayons. He says he is opening them. So after many "opened" crayons I told him that that was bad. I showed him unpeeled crayons and told him good and peeled crayons, bad. So now he says, "Bad" every time he sees a peeled crayon. I thought, yeah he understands. But yet he keeps peeling them and now all crayons are "Bad" opps not the way I wanted that to go. :O)

He loves to sing and if there is music on the radio he sings along and tells us to dance. If he hears singing at church he has to grab the hymn book and sing along. He loves to get up at the piano and pull out our hymn book and play the piano while singing. Its mostly jibber jabber noise but every now and then we get a word in there. Binkie, winston (a friends dog), lots of friends names, Momma, Dadda, Jesus, Ball, any word he knows really, along with some lalalalalala and piano playing. Its very precious. He always wants us to dance with him too, to EVERYTHING, so there is Lots and Lots of dancing and singing in our house. :O) Its very nice. I catch him singing in bed all the time too, thats what I wake up too in the morning. Its nice to have such a happy kid. I decided to put on Primary songs the other day and when "I am a child of God" came on he started to get excited and sing along, every now and then he would hit it right on, child, God, lead, walk, teach. It made me so happy!

He also has had some weird nursery issues. He started out just fine, but then he got really sick and missed 2 weeks of church and then right after that I went on bed rest and he went to church with Noah and had lots of seperation issues. He has slowly been getting back to being fine in nursery. He askes every morning if we are going to church and when I tell him No not today he askes "When?" So we have been working on days of the week! Probably be awhile before it makes any sense to him but hey learning opportunity comes along, Im jumping at it. :O) This past sunday. After the closing prayer he got up and walked right out the row, the the back of the chapel out the door and down the hall, by the time I realized what was going on he was way ahead of me. He never turned around, not once to see if Noah or I was coming. He walked right to his classroom, waited for a passer by the open the door and he snuck right in, sat in a chair. The room was empty no teacher yet. He beat everyone there. We by that time were right behind him. As soon as he sits down he starts yelling "Sunny (his teacher) Sunny! Coming? Sunny, R U?" But he did not move, he just waited. Noah went into the room until a teacher showed up and collected several kids along the way, but still Landon sat there and when Noah left, "Bye dadda". Okay so this is a first, I hope it continues. His teacher Sunny moves in a month so crossing my fingers this keeps up. :O)

Several more but Ill save them for later. Just one last one for now! Landon has been working on potty training. We let him decide in the morning if its an big boy undies day, or diaper day. I dont want to rush him and since he is not yet two I figured to not scare him Ide let him pick. Most days he wants undies and is really great about telling us he has to potty. Usually he does it on the run to the bathroom but sometimes he makes it to the potty and will sit there for a minute and is ready to get up and then goes potty within 2 minutes of getting up. But the other day the phone rang so Noah ran to answer it and on his way out Landon went potty. WHAT?! Are you a shy pottier Landon? Turns out he is! If we put him on the potty and leave, just walk outside the door and wait, he will go potty! Its crazy, I did not know a 21 month old could be a shy pottier. Glad we figured that one out, makes this potty thing much easier. :O)

Okay so no more boring you for now. Here are a few pictures.

Landon loves to have his hair done. He loves for us to tell him he is handsome!

Whenever he finds a rubber band he wants me to put it in his hair. I think he looks like my little chinesse ninja!Landon loves to get into the toliet paper. Im pretty sure every other kid does too. most times I catch him but this time he made it all the way down the hall before I caught him. Man thats strong toliet paper to not break. When I get to the living room he has mummified himself. Such a goof.

1-2-3 Look at me!

Landon is very into the helping stage. Anything I am doing he has to do too. We were moving all his Noahs arc stuff from his room into the play room and hanging it up on the wall, because he is getting a "big boy" sports room. I was hanging the pictures and he went and got his hammer and helped me, (he also hammer everything else he could, the washer, the door, his table, the couch, they all needed hammering right?) Landon loves to put on shoes, anybodys shoes. So if I leave out my high heels he has to put them on and walk around in them, I am so afraid he is going to break his neck or an ankle, but I think he is getting the relative hang of it. Noahs not so thrilled, I just think its funny. He does it with Noahs work boots too but they come up almost to his bum so its a bit harder to walk in them.

I think Landon looks so cute in overalls so I have been on this overall kick since its finally warm or rather hot out and I can put them on him before they get too small. I think he just looks precious, so I had to share this pic.
My boys love to play outside and play ball. Landon is all about the balls which makes Noah very happy. I love to watch them play, they both have so much energy it amazes me. Landon can run around for an hour straight non stop and still not want to quit. I love that our yard is so big he has lots of room to run around.
Landons new toy. He loves play houses and always has to play in the displays at the store so we decided to get him one and put it in his playroom. He loves it, he loves to hide things in there too. We have discovered the house phone, cell phone, shoes and wallets in there multiple times along with all his other treasures. He has also for some reason taking to doing his business in there. He is potty training so when he has an accident with pee pee its even harder to clean up because the floor is grouted. :O) Silly boy wants mommy to have to work harder. I am pretty sure he was pooping while I was taking this picture, you can tell by that look on his face. He also loves for us to play in there with him, its not so easy to get in there, but he is in seventh heaven if you do.

Noah is getting a raise in about a week and putting on a new strip so he will be Senior Airman Jenkins (SRA) we are very excited and I am so proud of all his hard work and his love and passion for his job. I am so glad that he has found something that hs loves so much and that he gets to do it every day. WAY TO GO NOAH!!!!!

Adventures in Parenthood.

So its been forever since I blogged, due to sickness all around the house and bed rest, I have not had much time or energy to blog. So here is a bunch of catch up pictures. :O) Im sure I do this lots! Trying to be more diligent and some days it works and others......not so much. I better get this under control before we have little boy number 2 and I have re learn it again. Here is Landons Easter suit. He loves to get all dressed up for church and always is so proud of how cute he loves. He loves for you to tell him he looks handsome.
Landon has been very attached to daddy lately and loves to be around him. He asks for him as soon as he wakes up in the morning and wants him when he goes to bed. He has actually been in this phase where he wants us both around as much as possible and we all have to be in the same room. He loves for us to dance and jump around the livingroom, (try explaining to a 20 month old that mommy is pregnant and cant jump all around.) When I put him down for a nap I have to tell him, "Daddy will be home when you wake up" and when Noahs working nights when I put him to bed, "Daddy will be here in the morning and will come get you up." and then he will go to sleep just fine. Its so much fun to watch the two of them together.

Landon loves to brush peoples hair and have his hair brushed and played with. He is brushing my moms hair in this picture.

We are going down the long road of potty training. Its been an adventure so far and its only getting more crazy and more busy. But it really is a lot of fun to see him go potty in the big boy potty and to see his face light up.
For Easter we had a bunch of friends from church over to have a BBQ and an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. Landon had gone to two the week before so he was an old pro. He was still going long after all the other kids tired out. And when he basket got too full to carry, he drug it and when that was too much he left it and brought the eggs too it. He refused help and got so mad at me when I tried to put some of his eggs into a bag so that it would not be too heavy. He is so independent and wants to learn things on his own.
I was inside watching them, trying to figure out what they were consentrating on so hard. So I went outside to check on them and found them trying to open some Starburst that they had found in an egg. Aftre many attempts they finally got them open and were very happy and content in eating them.

Sea World came to the Youth Center on base and brought lots of different animals. Landon had a blast watching all the animals. He was in love with all of them and was so intent on watching them all move around. He learned the word Penguin before so when he saw them in real life he was so thrilled. He also loved the flamingos and birds that they had flying around. This one was a Couscous and he kept saying "Ow cute kitty." and "Cat, cute." I tried to explain to him that it was not a kitty but he still called it that. He had fun petting it and letting it lick his hands. It was a really neat experience. He loves elephants (just like his mommy) so I cant wait to take him to a Zoo that has elephants he can see. He also loves Whales and fishies (he is in awe at Walmart, "More fishies mommy more more more, fishies.")so I think it will be fun to go to Sea World for real and see all the animals.
