Growing up... with everything!

Landon loves his little "truck" he just sits on it and tries to grab things and pull them up there with him. He does not like for you to move it, and he has not figured out how to move it himself yet either. I think he just likes being up and on his own and doing "big boy" things. He hits the middle of the handle bar trying to make noise. All of his toys make noise, and he has a car that has a little horn that honks. So he tries to get this to honk, but it of course does not, I told Noah was needed to get him a little horn for it. He is just growing up so fast.
Landon loves to take baths and play wit his toys and wash rags. He has to have one of his own every time he gets a bath. And by this point he makes such a mess every time he eats that he gets two baths a day sometimes. One after his messy morning(or mid day) meal and one before bed. He loves to be in there, so when we are done washing him we let most the water out and just let him play in there with his toys, while we watch him, smiling and laughing at how cute he is. He tries so hard to reach the toys when they float out of the way, and sometimes he things that the tub stopper is a toy, and gets a little frustrated when he cant make it move.

LOOK AT THOSE BIG BEAUTIFUL BROWN EYES!!! Mommy and daddy love this little guy soooo much. He brings so much joy to our lives and into our home.

Our little big man

Landon has been trying so hard to crawl, he just moves backwards though. He can get all the way across the room backwards, very slowly though, it takes about 10 minutes, and you have to be giving him some insentive as well, he train noise works really well and it moves across the floor so he trys to follow it. He has got the biggest smile and loves to giggle and play. You can see his two bottom teeth in this picture. He also has his two big top teeth, one to the right of that, and another coming in to the left. He loves to grind them now too, which makes my skin crawl, but he has just recently figured it out, so he does it all the time. I think in this picture you can see how big his eyes are. He takes after his mommy in that respect, but I think thats about it.
Landon has also started to feed himself. He loves to eat biter biscuits, baby corn puffs, corn wagon wheels, potatoes and raisens. He has mastered the biscuits but thats about it. They are really big and he can fit them into his mouth by himself. The rest of the food he picks up and tries to put it in his mouth, but he sticks his whole hand in there and then can not figure out how to get the food out of the hand and into the mouth. He makes a big mess as you can see and we have to "hose" him down. While taking his bath recently he has found his little boy parts and has begun to grab and squeeze. I laugh and ask him if that hurts? Its funny thought cause every time he takes a bath now, and his hands brush it, he grabs and squeezes. What a goof!!

We got Landon a little tykes "truck" he loves it. He loves to just sit in it and play around, he sits up in it really good now and does not need any assistance. He really enjoys himself and loves to pull toys onto it with him. He is now however starting to try and figure out how to get off, oh when he starts to walk, we will have our hands full for sure. He is still a big drooler and has to where a bib with everything, or we have to change him every ten minutes. He has of course learned how to pull the bibs off, and very quickly so we can stop him, its like a magic trick for him. He also loves to play peekaboo, he will pull the blanket up over his head and giggle so hard till someone says something to him, then he will yank it down and smile, and then pull it right back up. The other day he was in my lap and put his burp cloth over his face, and put his hands down, he just sat real still for a few minutes then he started to giggle, so I asked him "wheres landon?" he yanked it down and started to smile and giggle even more. He loves to play, he is just a busy little man.

I know that I have not blogged in forever, so I figured I would update as much as I can. So much as happened with Landon since I last blog, and with Noah, nothing really new with me though. :O) Landon is eating food now, has not mastered feeding himself, or even close, he loves to play with his spoons, but he can not figure out have to get the food in his mouth, he puts his whole fist in there and can not figure out why the food wont stay in there. He does not like baby food at all, he is a total real food boy. He likes chicken and cheerios, he loves his apple juice mixed with water, and chewing on carrots and apples. He has a little friend at church that he tries to share his carrots with. So now we pack enough for both of them. He is not so sure about the freeze dried food, he just horreds the corn in his cheeks. I put some on his tray and he kept eating them, so I thought, Yeah my baby likes veggies, but alas when he laughed, I spotted them horreded in his cheeks. I asked him if he was a squrriel or a chipmunk saving up for the winter. He is just a hoot when he eats, he makes the silliest faces and now noises. He makes an, ummmmmmm, sound when he eats his rice cereal, after every bite, it sounds like he is saying YUMMMM! Its so cute, so Noah and I mimic him and ask him if its good? And then he started rocking back and forth and swinging his arms, so we take that to mean, OF COURSE!

Dont want to jinx it, but I just had to tell everybody. Landon slept through the night last night, IN HIS CRIB!!!!! YEAH mileston reach, hope we can keep it up. He got a bath and a massage, and then got ready for bed and had his bottle around 9. He then feel asleep and woke up about 5 minutes later and cried for about 15-20 minutes, when he finally got quit Noah and I tooked at each other wondering if we really were hearing silence. We checked on him before we went to bed and he was still sound asleep. He fussed a few times, and then in his sleep turned on his waterglobe on his bed, and he cried, but did not wake up, so I went in and turned it off and he was fine. He woke up about 3 and downed a bottle in about 3 minutes flat and fell back asleep. He woke up about 7:30 this morning and has been happy as a clam ever since.

We are so excited about this, it finally means after 6 months that Noah and I can sleep with out a baby in the bed with us. And maybe we can actually get sleep.

More Landon News!

Landon is growing up so fast, he has got so many facial expressions, I often wonder what he is thinking, what is going through his sweet little head. He has taken to his daddy very well since Noah quit wearing cologne, they are best buds. He loves to be held be his daddy and will sometimes just stare up at him and get a big grin on his face. Yesterday he was just a giggling when Noah was holding him and talking to him. Noah tells him secrets and makes him promise not to tell anyone, especially mommy, and Landon always starts cooing and gurling when Noah asks him if he can do that, Im not sure if he is agreeing or not. If you are holding him slightly he can push up from his knees to a standing position. He also loves it when I put some of the juices from whatever we are eating for dinner on my finger and let him lick it off. Yesterday for lunch I had left over Chicken Noodle cassarole and I was feeding some of the gooey parts to him and he was loving it. When he was done with what was in his mouth he would look at me and start moving his head as close to me as he could get it and smacking his lips. I also give him some of my popsicle whenever I am eating one and he gets this big wide eyed grin, he of course makes a big mess and slobbers everywhere, but he loves every minute of it and its just so cute to watch. We are going to ask the doctor next visit when is the earliest we can give him baby food, cause he really seems to like it. He is also drolling a lot and like to chew on things, namely his hands and mommy or daddys shoulders, so we felt the inside of his mouth and it feels like he is getting teeth. He also has in the last few weeks discovered his tongue and likes to lick our faces or shoulders. He also sticks it out whenever he if laying down on the bed and makes slurping sounds with it. He has had trouble pooping, so we went to the doctor to see if everything was okay. We had been having to give him a home version of an enima, we would stick the bottom thermometer in his butt and massage his tummy, it worked like a charm, but we did not like having to help him poop, we wanted him to not be so uncomfortable and be able to do it on his own. The doctor said that everything was okay with him, but that it did look like he was getting the makes of a hernia by his right testie, so we have to keep an eye on that. In the mean time, my mother sent us so essential oils to help calm him and help with the colick. It seems to be working, it has moved his crying time from about 3 hours at night to anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, and getting shorter each time. The amazing thing about it though is that it has helped Landon poop on his own, he is now going about 3-4 times a day by himself. Its actually rather cute because you can tell he is going to the bathroom, he grunts a lot and really loud. The other day I woke up to him giggling because he was pooping, I could not help but laugh and kiss him all over. There is nothing in the world like waking up, opening your eyes, and seeing your beautiful babys bright smiling face staring up at you. He has graduated from sleeping on my stomach to sleeping inbetween me and Noah, and surprisingly Noah has managed not to smooch him, yet. Landon takes up the whole bed however, by spreading out his arms as far as he can and kicking the whole night, Noah and I are both huging the edge of the bed for dear life. We both joke that we are going to have to get bed rails so we dont fall off the bed. Our baby is growing up too fast, I guess those extra 11 days in utero did that too him. I was driving by the elementary school the other day and saw some dads in uniform waiting outside for their kids. One little boy came running out of his classroom and jumped into his dads arms. I started to cry because I can see Landon doing that and I can just see the years zooming by. We are cherishing every moment with him because before we know it he will be going off on his own, I only hope that we are able to teach him all that we can before that time comes. Each day with him is a gift from god and I am so thankful that I am so blessed to be his mother and to be able to wake up next to one of gods miracles each and everyday. I valued the time when he is this little and wants to sleep with mommy and daddy, because one day that will be a fleeting memory that we can only look back on and smile with the deepest of love and gratitude.

Pregnancy and Birth!

This is a picture of me the night before I went to the hospital to be induced. I weighed 183 pounds. I was 140 before I got pregnant with Landon. My hands, face and feet (ankles and legs) had swollen up so much. By the time I left the hospital 2 days later I was 28 pounds lighter. Two weeks later I was back down to 140. So it was all baby!!!

These are of course all pictures of Landon right after he was born. When they took him to weigh him and clean him up. At first he was crying then he just started staring off at everything. This is our precious baby boy.
