Pumpkin carving and painting too!

We let Landon paint his pumpkins that he got at the store and that he picked at the orchard. He had a blast, he was so serious about it and thought it was so much fun. I had fun watching him paint his pumpkin he was so into painting and trying all the different colors. I love his faces.

Noah and I carved the big pumpkin and dug out the seeds. Noah does not like things on his hands like Landon he hates goey things and sticky things so I thought it was funny that he wanted to dig out the seeds and the stringy oey goey insides, I guess he is growing up. :O) It was fun to carve the pumpkin something neither of us had done in a very long time.

I love this little man!

I love his smile. I love his little noises and the way he talks to me. I love his fish face. I love the way he takes everything in. I love watching him and holding him. I love his soft skin and giving him kisses. I love that he leans in and puckers up for kisses. I love his big beautiful eyes. I love how sweet he is. I love watching him sleep and the sweet faces that he makes. I love how he smiles at me after he eats and just accooos and goooos. I love how he grabs my shirt or my hair while he is eating. I love how he loves to grab my fingers and hold on tight. I pretty much just love this wonderful little boy. He is truly an amazing little man!

Dont!!!! Dont!!!! Dont!!!!

Landon has been having bloody noses lately, usually he wakes up with a little bit of a bloody nose but never this bad. Noah called me into his room and this is what I found. At first I thought he had fallen out of bed and landed on his face but it was only a bloody nose. A pretty bad one too. I dont know what to do, he has a humidifier in his room right by his bed but he still gets the bloody noses, poor kid I hope he does not get them forever and I hope it does not hurt him.
We are potty training so we get to run around with a shirt and no undies. He has finally figured out how to pull down his undies and so now he gets to wear undies and his shirt. He is doing really good and only has poo poo accidents, for some reason I can not get him to go on his potty. He is doing really good with pee pee and does not have accidents. Any tips on how to get him to go poop on his potty? He went on the diningroom floor the other day and hid under the table and called me into the room by saying "Mom, mom poop on kitchen." Then he had an accident in front of the TV. He is a shy pottier and has been holding his poop until we put a diaper on him for nap or bed and then goes as soon as the diaper is on.

In the picture above you can kind of see a bandaid on his leg, he is obsessed with Bandaids and thinks they are stickers, he has to wear one all day long and wants them all over his body. That day it was his legs, today it was both feet. :O)

He loves to read and has been starting to figure out his books by listening to me read them over and over, so he will sit and read the books. Its so much fun to watch him learn.

Landon is on this new DONT kick! I dont know what word I dislike more "dont" or "no"! He tells us all the time dont do this or dont do that.

If I am tickling him "Dont tickle him". If I am trying to hold him and he does not want to be held he looks at me very seriously and says "Dont touch him, dont hold him." If I am going to get him or grab him if he is going to fall he tells us "Dont push him." I love how he says him, these little ones dont quit understand the whole vocab yet and it cracks me up how they actually say things. Its too cute to hear. He also tells us "Dont talk, Stop Dont!" if Noah and I are talking and he is trying to hear the TV or he wants our attention and to not pay attention to each other. He also says "Dont kiss" and will push himself between us if we are kissing each other. Such a silly little boy! So we get lots of Donts!!! It actually cracks us up.

Dating and Debating

So Noah and I had our first baby free date since Braddoc was born!! YEAH! Kirsten watched the boys for us and Noah and I finally got to go see the movie we have been wanting to see for awhile now, Eagle Eye. It was a really good movie, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a movie that makes you think and has lots of action and some really great acting.

It was so nice to be able to go out to with Noah and be just us for a bit. We enjoyed talking about the movie the whole way home and have adult conversation where Landon was not in the background saying "DONT! DONT, STOP TALKING" :O) (got to love kids). We enjoyed debating issues that were brought up in the movie and talking about the future. Noah teased me because the main computer in the movies name is Aria, which he said is very close to my name and is exactly what Ila calls me (she adds Ah to alot of names now). He said I like to be in control and can go a little overboard and be crazy like the computer in the movie. :O) Gee thanks honey!

We were going to take Braddoc and be "those people who brought their baby to the movie", but Kirsten graciously offered to watch both the kiddos for us. She said that Braddoc did so good and was so happy and content. I am so greatful to have such a wonderful friend who loves my family and who loves my boys so much. She is so wonderful and my kids love her. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people around me. I am greatful for a wonderful evening spent with my husband. Thanks Kirsten for a wonderful treat.

So quick thought on the movie. This "lady" calls people and tells them if they want to live or if they dont want something bad to happen to them or the ones they love them they will do what she tells them to do. The characters however think its a terrorist telling them to do all this stuff. So its save your life or your loved ones life but wind up taking many more lives in return. What would you do? I mean if you dont do it will your loved one die (say your child) and then will they just find someone else who is willing to do it and so either way it happens and you have lost a loved one because it was not you who did it. Its crazy, I cant imagine something like that.... talk about scary and confusing! Glad its not me! So anyone else have any thoughts one that? What would you do?

Standing for whats right! Vote Yes on Prop 8!

So being called into the bishops office to be asked to call people in California to encourage them to vote yes on Prop 8 really got me thinking and realizing how serious this is. If the first presidency is encouraging us to do our part in making sure this ballot gets a yes vote then I will do what can. (read about the LDS churches part here: http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,700264880,00.html )

I cannot believe that this is even an issue in our society. Why now? Why are the fundamentals of our society being questioned and changed? There are so many points to support voting yes on this ballot, I could go on for days and days and after reading many friends posts on this issue Im sure we could all go on for days and days.

The points that Noah and I have been discussing are being stated by many other people. In the beginning God created Man and when he saw that he was alone, he created woman to be his companion and help mate. The first family was man and woman. Marriage is about a man and a woman, creating a family. We are genetically created to reproduce as a man and a woman. God did not create us to be man and man or woman and woman. Our genetic make up is a very bold point that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

If you change the basic make up of marriage, the way our society has been from the very beginning then you are changing everything we are built upon. If you change the definition of marriage to allow same sex couples then you have to change it for everyone, allowing polygamists to legally have more then one wife or more then one husband as well. If you start twisting and changing the laws and ordinances that this country was built upon the question has to be raised, When is enough enough?

Love the sinner hate the sin. Do I hate couples who want same sex marriage? NO! Do I disagree with what they are doing and think that it is socially and morally wrong? Yes! I think that we all have urges to do things that we maybe should not do. Sometimes I want to run a red light because no one is coming and Im ready to get home. Sometimes I want to go crazy and spend all of our savings on a shopping spree. We all have urges to do things that are not always right or the best, does this make them okay? No! If you have the urge, the desire to be with someone of the same sex it still does not make it right. Marriage is ordained of God, to be between a man and a women, it is a sacred act only to be taken on by a man and a woman.

If we allow same sex marriage then we are condoning same sex marriage. We are saying that its okay to teach our children that liking another little boy or another little girl is okay because society says it is. Its teaching our children that its okay to act upon unbridled urges. Its the combining of church and state, something that so many have been fighting to separate. If you can't teach my child about god in schools then you should not be allowed to teach them about same sex marriages in school like they are doing in Massachusetts. If California allows same sex marriage then the rest of the nation will. Everyone will have to condone it whether they like it or agree with it or not. Bishops will have to marry any same sex couple who comes to him and requests it, whether he agrees with it or not. Shouldn't that be his decision not the government? Where do you draw the line on allowing freedom of speech? If you are going to tell him that whether or not he believes in same sex marriage does not matter, that he has to marry them anyway, aren't you taking away his rights? Where will it end? Eventually the rights and laws of marriage will blur and become grey and the sanctity of it will be lost. If you can sue someone because they refuse to marry you, then will marriage eventually become null and void? If bishops, pastors, preachers, rabbi's are getting sued because they refuse to marry same sex couples, because it is against their beliefs, then will there be anyone out there who will still be able to marry you after all these others are stripped of their rights through the court process?

The sanctity of marriage is being lost, its being twisted and manipulated. If you live in California and have the opportunity to stop this decline and vicious cycle from continuing please VOTE YES on Prop 8.

The following is a very educational video. Please watch!!!!

This will also affect adoptions and other religious organizations. It will make it to were adoption agencies have to allow gay couples to adopt children whether they agree with it our not. Again you are giving this gay couple rights and taking the rights to decide and have our freedom of speech away from the rest of us who do not agree with or condon same sex marriage. Allowing them this right is taking away so many other rights from the rest of the world and from so many organizations. This is terrifing to me that we have even gotten to this point but even more terrifing to me what the reprocutions of allowing same sex marriages would be. "Expanding the definition of marriage by including homosexualrelationships adds to the continued disregard for marriage’s ultimatepurpose. Where it has been legalized, same-sex marriage decreasesthe total number of marriages while increasing illegitimacy. NineEuropean nations have had same-sex marriage since the early 90’s—and just 2 percent of same-sex couples in these countries ever marry, while there has been 46 percent increase in out-of-wedlock births."
