Our new house has ZERO storage and when I say ZERO I mean like we could possibly head into the negative here soon. (I may or may not have to store some stuff at a friends house, anyone up for the task?)
We have had to get creative with where we store things.
Lots of back of the door hanging shelves and additional shelves added into the closest.
I will show you pictures of all of that when I finish taking them.
One of the biggest problems I have had is where to put my plastic bags.
I store several in the bathrooms under the current bag in the trash can so that when I take out the garbage I have one right on hand to put back in.
However the rest of the bags where just hanging out overwhelming the space by the back door in the garage.
I was in desperate need of a better, space saving alternative to this ever growing mess.
One day I finished off a container of Clorox wipes and was about to throw it away when I remember seeing this pin on Pinterest.
I searched it out and found my way over to Tater Tots and Jello and figured out how to make them.
I thought I would share with you how I did it as well.
Take your container and peel off the label and turned it over to let it dry out.
Pick out your paper and line it up with the top of the container then roll the container over the paper and draw a line to know where to cut, then make your cut. Now glue your paper onto the container. (I used hot glue for a stronger hold, but you can use any kind.)
Then take your bags and separate them all. With the lid off start to stuff all of them into your container, pushing them down as far as you can as you go (this will help you get more in, I was able to get 17 bags into my one container.)
Put your lid back on and pull the top bag out of the top a little bit.
And Voila!!! You have a grocery bag storage container and it takes up very minimal space and only took about 5 minutes to make and only cost me nothing!!!
