Spooktacular entryway

Its no secret that I LOVE Halloween. 

I love decorating and spending time with my family.

I love finding fun new decorations and getting creative with things.

Today I wanted to share with you our front entry way.

This is the first thing you see when you walk into our house. Its a smaller space but I wanted to get the most bang for my buck so to speak. I focused on this area first when I got out my decorations. I used a lot of things that I had on hand and things that I got at the dollar store. Plus I saved a ton of money doing it that way.

I printed off this trick or treat holiday sign and put it in a frame.

I grabbed some books that were "Spooky" type and used those as well. 

I got the brain and heart at the Dollar Store and put them in some containers that get reused for every holiday (those are my favorite kind). I also put some green food coloring and some water in with the heart so that it looked like it was in formaldehyde.

I got the bird, spider, the Bones Inn sign and rats from the Dollar Store. I used some more of my spooky books and put some Target skulls along with some Dollar store moss in another one of my multi functional dishes.

The hand was a Micheal's find this year.

I got the Witch book off of Etsy and found the finger dish at RC Willey. (or as my kids call it c willey, and my husband ALWAYS thinks they are talking about seeing a person named Willie.)

The shelf of the table in the front room has 2 caldrons and a basket housing these spooky creatures.

The webbed lace and cloth were also Dollar Store finds. I made the Terrified sign in about 10 minutes, Ill post more about that later. 

I made the tree and told you how in this post. I also made the spider web wreath using all Dollar Store supplies (a wreath, webbing and spiders.) The wreath took less then 10 minutes to make.

The bats and owls were also Dollar Store treasures, each bag came with 15 bats/owls. I was totally jazzed about that find. 

I pretty much just used only things I had on hand and things that I purchased on my quick dollar store trip. Its so much fun to decorate for the holidays but can also cost a lot of money so I wanted to eliminate that problem this year and spend a small amount of money while focusing on what I already had. I am pleased to say that this was a success and I LOVE how it turned out.

My "theme" was Witches office. I think I achieved that. Its fun to see how things in my head translate into finished products.
